Northwest Healthcare Properties Australia is pleased to announce the opening of a AU$20 million expansion at Abbotsford Private Hospital in Perth – a leading mental health facility operated by our partner Aurora Healthcare Australia. This expansion more than doubles the mental health inpatient capacity, designed to address the significant growing demand for mental health treatment in the region.
This five-storey hospital expansion adds 47 new inpatient beds, group therapy rooms and administration facilities. Through our NZX-listed fund, Vital Healthcare Property Trust, we are proud to increase Australians access to mental health services with this development at Abbotsford which brings our national mental health portfolio to over 1,000 beds.
Together with Aurora, we are proud to have opened the first of the new beds at Abbotsford to patients, with the remainder to open in September this year.
