Group Chief Executive Officer
Charles Wang is the Chief Executive Officer of Luye Medical Group. He has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and management, close to 20 of which have been in the healthcare industry. Prior to this role, Charles served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Luye Medical Group for two years.
Charles has been the CFO of a number of listed and private healthcare companies in areas such as dialysis services, orthopedics, vaccine and traditional Chinese medicine. He has also worked at the Asia-Pacific headquarters of a UK-listed industrial conglomerate, as well as accountancy firms both in England and Hong Kong.
Charles received his bachelor's degree in Economics and Accountancy from the University of Leeds, and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales since 1991.
Senior Group VP
CEO & Managing Director, Healthe Care
Steve Atkins has over 20 years of senior management experience in health care spanning acquisition, management and growth of private hospitals, sports medicine and workplace health businesses. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Healthe Care Australia (HCA) business in 2005 and he has played a leading role in the growth of HCA, initially as Chief Operating Officer and then as CEO & Managing Director.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Nursing.
Kin Poo Choo
Trained as a medical professional in Australia, Kin Poo Choo began his career in Ministry of Health Singapore and spent 2 years in National Cancer Centre and over 15 years in National Healthcare Group. Kin Poo held senior leadership positions in clinical policy and strategic planning, corporate development, operations, research and development at corporate headquarter and institution level. He also sat on many national level committees including manpower planning, clinician scientist development, Biomedical Sciences Executive Committee and National Standard Committee in Spring Singapore.
Prior to joining Luye Medical, Kin Poo spent 3 years heading strategy planning for Asia Pacific at Covance, a US-listed Drug Development Services Company based in Princeton, U.S.
CEO, Luye Medical Ellium South Korea
Yongsu Hong has extensive experience in the healthcare industry in Asia. He established Ellium Hospital Group which focused on women's hospital, children hospital, and postpartum care center with supportive healthcare organizations in South Korea.
Prior to joining in the Healthcare industry, Yongsu had worked over 14 years in the fields of global mergers; acquisitions, marketing, and overseas business development at South Korean Conglomerate SK Group.
Yongsu earned an MBA from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, and a Bachelor of Law from Pusan National University.
Dr. Stephen Nolan
VP, Group Clinical Quality
Dr. Stephen Nolan has had a distinguished medical career spanning over 20 years. This was recognized in 2014 when he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to healthcare organizations and medicine.
Dr. Nolan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, a Master of Education, and a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery with first class honors. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in the area of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and a Fellow of the College of Intensive Care Medicine.
VP, Group Strategy Planning & Business Development
Andrew Grant has 18 years’ experience working across a range of healthcare sectors including hospitals, medical devices and primary care. He has worked with Healthe Care Australia for the last 5 years in different capacities on Asia growth strategy and hospital performance improvement projects. Previously in the medical devices sector, Andrew was Vice President, Corporate Development for US-listed ResMed Inc. where he was responsible for implementing ResMed’s growth strategy and mergers & acquisitions for emerging markets across China, India and Europe.
Earlier in his career, Andrew was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, and worked as a biomedical engineer in the U.S. and Australia on the new product development and marketing of implantable defibrillators and pacemakers.
Andrew earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Electronic & Biomedical Engineering from University of New South Wales.
VP, Group Human Resources
As the Luye Medical Group VP, Human Resources, Kathleen He is responsible for Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Internal Audit and Administration. She has over 18 years of experience in Human Resources area at Fortune Global 500 companies from Head of HR, Global HR International to Global Projects across China, Asia-Pacific and Germany.
Prior to the current position, Kathleen worked at Bayer in Germany to roll out Country Platform, provide consultancy on a diverse set of strategic HR issues and lead various global projects. With the China role, she was fully responsible for the HR function, ranging from strategic HR topics, M&A to day-to-day HR operations. Her HR team was awarded as Best HR Management Team and Best HR Management Strategy by 51 job China, and the company also won the 5th Harvard Business Review China Management Practice Award. In addition to her HR portfolio, Kathleen used to lead Internal Communication function as well.
Kathleen holds an MBA from Royal Roads University and she is also a certified Executive Coach.
