June is Men’s Health Month, which is all about empowering men to take charge of their physical, mental, and emotional health. Thanks to the blokes of Townsville Private Clinic, Aurora Healthcare Australia, who are embracing this month by sitting down and discussing their well-being through a series of chat. Together, we can break down the stigma and encourage open conversations about men’s health.
The recent National Reconciliation Week (27th May to 3rd June) served as a powerful reminder that healing, understanding, and respect are fundamental to building a fair and inclusive society, also a time to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and embrace the spirit of unity. Together, whether at home, work or in our social circles, our Aurora team promoted cultural awareness, foster relationships, and amplify Indigenous voices. By learning from the past and acknowledging the truths of our shared history, we can pave the way for a brighter and more inclusive future.
Aurora team’s recent events also include Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Congress, where our iMH CEO Joanne Levin and staff specialists talked about psychiatry opportunities to the public, and Rural Doctors Association of Queensland Conference that supporting the mental health, rehabilitation, and specialty medical requirements of rural communities.
